Not all foods stored in the freezer will last longer. With eggs, fried foods, cheese… housewives should keep them in the refrigerator.
Eggs: When frozen, the liquid inside the eggs expands, which can cause the shell to crack or break. Therefore, the components inside the eggs are easily damaged and increase the risk of bacterial infection. Even with hard-boiled eggs or foods that use this ingredient (like mayonnaise, cakes, etc.), you should not store them in the freezer.
Cucumber: Watery vegetables like cucumbers are easy to freeze, but when used, they become soft and taste is also affected. To keep cucumber fresh for a long time, you should store it in the refrigerator properly. Housewives wash cucumbers, soak them in salt water for about 30 minutes and then drain them. Finally, you use paper towels to wrap each fruit.
Edible flowers: We often use flowers to decorate in parties. When stored in the freezer, this product darkens and crumbles after taking it out.
Jellyfish: Similarly, jelly types lose their texture, becoming frozen hard to use.
Cheese: When stored in the freezer, ice crystals form in cheese which affects flavor and texture. Water expands when it freezes and contracts when it melts, breaking the cheese’s structure. When enjoying defrosted food, you will feel the food is mushy and bland.
Avocado: In addition to the purpose of preserving avocado as a smoothie, housewives should not keep this fruit in the freezer. Like cheese, butter loses its original texture and flavor.
Fresh vegetables: You should not put fresh vegetables in the freezer but should be combined with olive oil or processed into a sauce.
